Prof Scuffham is a leading health economist in Australia. He specialises in modelling the costs and benefits of health care interventions, the valuation of health outcomes and methods to incorporate public preferences in health policy decision-making. His research publications (>450 peer reviewed articles plus >100 reports to government) have been highly influential on policy. He serves on the editorial boards of five journals, and since 2013, is the Associate-Editor of Medical Decision Making.
Professor Scuffham is a Fellow and Board member of the prestigious Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and is Chair of their Policy Advisory Committee.
